Who looks after your data

I'm Diogo Mané, the designer behind Aravo Design, based on Terceira in the Azores, Portugal. I'm the one who looks after your data. Questions or requests: hello@aravodesign.com. I reply within one working day.

The short version

  • This website sets no cookies and has no ads or trackers.
  • I only collect what you send me, what's needed to pay, and business details that are already public.
  • I never sell your data, and I only share it with the services listed below.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time.

What I collect and why

  • When you fill in the project form or email me: your name, email, business, country, links, files and what you tell me about your project. I use it to reply, send a proposal and do the work. Legal basis: taking steps towards a contract you asked for, and the contract itself.
  • When you pay: name, billing address and email, handled by Stripe. I never see your card number. Legal basis: the contract, and Portuguese tax law (invoices).
  • When I contact your business first: your business name, public business email, website and what I noticed on it, all from public sources. Every first email says where I found you and how to opt out. Legal basis: legitimate interest in offering relevant services to businesses. Say “no thanks” and I won't contact you again.
  • When you visit this website: cookie-free visit counts from Cloudflare Web Analytics (pages viewed, country, device type), with no personal profile. Legal basis: legitimate interest in knowing which pages help.

Who else handles it

A few services help me run Aravo. Each only gets what it needs:

  • Tally (Belgium): the project form.
  • Stripe: payments and invoices.
  • Google Workspace: email and files.
  • Cloudflare: website hosting, domain and visit counts.

Some of these companies may process data outside the EU. When they do, they use the safeguards EU law requires, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long I keep it

  • Enquiries that don't become a project: up to 2 years, then deleted.
  • Client projects, emails and files: for the project and up to 5 years after, so I can help with later changes.
  • Invoices and payment records: as long as Portuguese tax law requires (up to 10 years).
  • If you opt out of contact: just your business email, on a do-not-contact list, so you're never emailed again.

Your rights

You can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, limit how I use it, get a copy to take elsewhere, or object to how I use it. Email hello@aravodesign.com and I'll answer within a month at most, usually within days.

If you're unhappy with the answer, you can complain to Portugal's data protection authority, the CNPD.

Cookies

This website doesn't set cookies. The project form runs on Tally's site, which may set its own essential cookies to make the form work.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date. Last updated 19 October 2026.
