You're responsible for the text, prices, claims and images you send me, and for having the right to use them. Before anything is printed, you approve the final files in writing.
Plain-language terms for every project, package and subscription. Last updated 19 October 2026.
I'm Diogo Mané, a designer and web developer from Portugal, based on Terceira in the Azores. Aravo Design is the studio I run on my own, as a sole trader.
Contact: hello@aravodesign.com. My tax number and address are on every proposal and invoice.
These terms apply to every project, package and subscription. Paying a deposit, a buy-now link or a subscription, or saying yes to a proposal by email, means you accept them. If a written proposal says something different, the proposal wins.
The scope is what the package page or your proposal lists. Anything not listed is extra, and I'll quote it before doing it.
Prices are in euros. If VAT applies, it's shown on the proposal and the invoice.
Timelines start when I have the deposit and everything I asked for: text, photos, logins. If that hasn't arrived within 30 days, your project moves to the back of the queue and restarts when there's room.
You see a first direction within 7 days of sending your content. If you don't want to go on at that point, tell me and I refund your deposit in full. The project ends there.
Each package includes 2 rounds of changes unless it says otherwise. Extra rounds are €60 each. A new direction after you've approved one is new work, and I'll quote it.
You're responsible for the text, prices, claims and images you send me, and for having the right to use them. Before anything is printed, you approve the final files in writing.
I build your site on a private preview link. It moves to your domain after the final payment. With a Care and hosting plan I look after hosting and the domain; without one, I hand both over to you at launch.
Once you've paid in full, the final approved designs and files are yours. I keep unused concepts, and my own tools, code and templates; anything of mine inside your deliverable comes with a permanent licence for you to use it. Fonts, stock images and plugins follow their own licences.
I may show your project in my portfolio once it's public, unless you ask me not to. White-label work for agencies is never shown without permission.
Design Desk: one request at a time, most delivered within 2–3 working days. Pause or cancel before your next billing date. Care and hosting: monthly, no minimum term. If a change misses the turnaround of your plan, that month is free. If you cancel, I hand your site and domain over to you.
If a print job goes wrong because of a technical fault in my files (bleed, resolution, colour mode, cut lines), I fix the files for free and pay up to €100 towards the reprint. Mistakes in approved content, printer faults and normal colour differences between printers are not covered.
You can cancel by email at any time. Your deposit is refundable under the first-look promise; after work beyond the first direction has started, it isn't. Work done beyond what the deposit covers is invoiced pro rata.
Most clients are businesses. If you're buying as a consumer, EU and Portuguese law give you 14 days from the day you pay to change your mind, without giving a reason. Just email me.
If you ask me to start within those 14 days, you pay for the work done up to the day you cancel. Once the work is fully delivered within those 14 days at your request, the right to cancel ends.
My liability for a project is limited to what you paid for that project. I can't promise specific business results, or how third-party platforms like Google, Meta or your printer will behave.
We both keep each other's private information private. How I handle personal data is in the privacy policy.
If something isn't right, email me and I'll do my best to fix it quickly.
Consumers can take a dispute to an out-of-court consumer arbitration centre. For the Azores this is CNIACC, the national consumer arbitration centre. More options are listed on the Portal do Consumidor.
These terms are governed by Portuguese law.
